Apologies for not posting for a long time. Here is a quick update.

Have recorded a CD of a new ensemble called Squint (Percy Pursglove – tpt, Dan Nicholls – keys, Ryan Trebilcock – bass, Carl Hemmingsley – drums and me – guitar and vox) with the help of PRS foundation. It’s about to be mixed and released in time for 24th November.

Because – 24th November is the concert date for my Birmingham Jazz commission. This will feature the Squint qaurtet with singer Debbie Clare, string quartet, percussionist Jason Huxtable and alto sax god Mike Fletcher. The set is entitled “A Cabaret of Outsiders” and I am in the process of writing it now and aim to have it finished by end of September.

Because -then I am off to China on 1st October to produce some Chinese pop and explore other musical possibilities out there for three weeks and then hurry home

Because – I have to get back to start a new Elements project that Sound It Out are running in Sandwell and Dudley which will be great

because – kids make great music!
