Surge recently had a gig as part of the If festival in The Spitz in London. We were invited down by Peter Weigold and Colin Riley of Brunel University. It was a double bill with folk inspired trio Horse’s Brawl and we were very pleased to get the opportunity to play in London again.

Given that we only had to do one set we packed in some of our most full on pieces and were able to give them plenty of focus in rehearsals prior to the gig. The band played a stormer and once again I realise how fortunate I am to have such good musicians performing my music. It seemed to go down pretty well and I am hoping we get back down to London some time soon.www.if-festival.co.uk
